When Christian Dior created The New Look, many saw it as a revolution but it was actually a reminiscence of what women used to look like before the war, or rather what they used to wear.
Full skirts in an A-Line shape were the first choice for elegant ladies who liked to dress up, but after the war everyone preferred dull colors, little material and simple designs. Besides the New Look was extravagant in its price range and so shocked many.
This season it seems designers are taking on a new approach to the iconic style, altering it in different and most creative ways. From tweed, to pink, to short, to prints; this fall is all about full skirts. Take a look!
