Add a little flavor to your afternoon tea by making this striped Zebra cake!
2 cups Sugar
100 g Butter
200 g Sour Cream
1/3 tsp Soda
250 g Flour
2 tbs Cocoa
Pre-heat oven to 180 C.
Line the baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
Mix butter and half of indicated sugar (180g) together until well combined.
Separately mix eggs and the rest of the sugar. Add this mixture to the butter and sugar mixture and mix well.
Mix the soda and sour cream together and add to the mixture.
Add flour to the mixture and mix until well combined.
Separate the mixture into two even halves.
Add cocoa to one of the mixtures to form a chocolate mixture.
Add two tbsp of white mixture into the centre of the cooking pan. Add two tbsp of cocoa mixture in the middle of the white mixture and continue in the same way until both mixture have finished.
Bake the cake for about 30 minutes, depending on the oven. Check the dough by sticking a dry match into the middle of the cake. If the match comes out dry, the dough is ready. If it is wet and has dough on it, bake the cake a little longer.
When ready, let cool on the rack and sprinkle with sugar powder.
