Erdem, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dries Van Noten and Proenza Schouler have embraced feathers all the way. I adore this trend! It’s so elegant and so dramatic too.
Feathers go long way back, from the native Indians, to the 16th century mask decoration, to the flapper era, TO today. Feathers make a vibrant effect when dancing or walking, have a unique decoration ability and a cool sensation.
Of course dressing in feathers from head to toe might look too extravagant, but having them here and there is the best choice. Pair a feather skirt with a simple top, or the other way around. As for the colors, stick to the mono-tone, because bright colorings might make the wrong statement.
